living with the seasons

We expect ourselves to have the same energy, motivation, routines and capacity in January that we have in July. But that’s not how nature works, and I’m increasingly convinced it’s not how we work either.

about seasonal living

Seasonal living isn’t about becoming a homesteader, growing all your own food or reorganizing your life around the moon (even though I'm showing you a homemade apple pie here). It’s simply about noticing. Paying attention to what the season is asking of you, what your body is telling you, and what might feel better if you stopped expecting yourself to operate exactly the same way all year long.

Life at Storybook Hill, season by season.

The gardens, animals, projects, weather, half-finished ideas and ordinary little moments that make this place home. No grand lesson required. Sometimes I just want to remember what was blooming.
